[He's glad Mal decided to wait outside because it means he doesn't have to answer any questions about the frame he'd picked up along with the medical supplies. He's only gone for a few minutes, exiting in time to see Mal glancing at her phone. Surprise at the sight of the phone quickly morphs into curiosity as he catches sight of a few happy faces. (Brothers, he remembers, back on the isle.) But the face he can see now squished next to Mal's at ease and goofing off doesn't look like any brother.
