B Movie Meme

You and yours are noticing how suspiciously familiar this whole setting is. Surprise! You're in a B-Movie. And guess who's the star? Ding-ding. Well, saddle up, grab a knife, run up the stairs - whatever it takes to survive to the end credits.
1 - "Hail to the King, baby": Welcome to being sucked into an alternate dimension with castles and demons and books that try to eat your face off. But that's okay, you've got a shotgun and a chainsaw, right? This... is your BOOMSTICK. Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart.
2 - "I'm gonna need a bigger can of Raid": Spiders, preying mantises, cockroaches, ants... whatever it is that has more than four legs, it's now supersized and about to attempt to move up the food chain. You gonna take that sitting down?
3 - "But the sign says don't feed the animals!": Mother nature is pissed, and she's got the critters of the land riled up and coming after you. Whether it's snakes in a plane, rats being directed by a scrawny bastard with satchels, or genetically altered bats/sharks/sharktopuses, they all want a piece of the OTHER other white meat.
4 - "I vant to suck your bloooood": Some creepy ass mofo in a cape with bad dental work is giving you the eye. Big eyes. With some kind of unibrow shit going on that needs to be trimmed. Plucking isn't just for woman, buddy. Grab a chair leg, or hell, a pencil, and tell him that no means no.
5 - "Maybe you should have taken a left at Uranus": Yep. You guessed it. Space aliens. Weird little green men with big heads and eyes the size of footballs. What's that in their hand? Is that... is that a probe? Oh god, run. RUN!
6 - "The curse of... that thing with the curse on it": Whether you've come afoul of a witch's curse, or you've taken something from somewhere you shouldn't have, you're cursed. Things are dropping on you, that black cat keeps crossing your path, things break just as you touch them. What else can go wrong?
7 - "Braaaaaaaaains": What's a b-movie meme without the obligatory zombies? Whether it's the Dawn of the Dead shambling ones, or the 28 Days Later running freaks of nature that have magically learned how to do parkour, you've got to deal with them. Grab a cricket-bat and your least favorite record and have at it.
8 - "Input. Does not compute. Error. Error": Robots gone wild, weee! Well, as wild as a robot can get. But when you take into consideration that they're no longer listening to you, and have decided that you're a parasitic virus on the face of the earth, you might have to try to give it the ol' reboot. IF you can reach the button...
9 - "There's something touching my leg": Yeah, we've done evil animals, but this is specifically for the 'wtf are you still doing in the water, you goddamn idiot' scenarios. Be it huge crocs, giant anacondas, flesh eating piranhas, there's something in that murky water that wants to get a little more up close and personal with you. Say hi to Cthulu.
10 - "She blinded me with SCIENCE": You should really be more careful with your components. Your experiment has gone awry, either blending you or someone else with some poor critter you had, or some type of virus that's changing them in ways that are VERY NOT GOOD. Now's not the time to remember you didn't fully lock the restraints...
11 - "DRAGONS!": Because dragons deserve a category of their own. Seriously. Motherfucking DRAGONS, yo. And they think you look mighty tasty. And small. And puny. And helpless. Get the goddamn army to show them just how not helpless you are, or die trying.
12 - "Let's do the timewarp again": Either the tagger or the taggee is from the future or the past, coming with a message. Or just a desire to fuck shit up. Go back and kill Hilter, you say? But... I want to go into the future and fly my car around.
13 - "REET REET REET REET REET": Can we say pyscho? Or Mike Meyers? Or Krueger? Or Jason? However you want to say it, there's a crazy guy with a knife/chainsaw/sickle and you're the only thing on their mind. Can you and your tagging partner evade them? Or is your tagging partner the one after you?
14 - "Devil with the blue dress on": Something wicked this way comes. Its favorite numbers are 666, and it likes to drink blood on a moonlit beach. You've woken it somehow, or it was the prophesized time for them to come and claim what's theirs. Namely, you.
15 - "Tremors": Look. If you know tremors, than I don't have to explain this. Just give me graboids and explosions and extensive games of "The ground is lava."
16 - "Wildcard": Don't see what you feel like playing on here? Make it up and go your own way, compadre.
Relationship ideas:
1 Comrade in arms: You and the tagger are in this together. Until the bitter, bitter, bitter end.
2 Enemies: You're tagging in as the antagonist in this little scenario.
3 Unwillingly dragged into this: You were just walking along, minding your own business, when BAM. Now you're in the middle of this mega-crap.
4 Consulting Expert: You're the expert that they're coming to for answers. You got any? HUH?
5 Wildcard: Come up with your own relationship.

Are they all coming from the east? [He shouts back up at him, narrowly dodging a set of fangs as another spider lunges for him and cursing under his breath. As far as they've been able to tell, they had all been approaching from that direction so far, but there was no point in continuing to retreat if they were only going to be running into more of these things. Much as he hates to admit it, he really can't keep this up for much longer. His arms are already heavy and aching and he's stumbled more than a couple of times.
He has to figure out some other way to deal with this. Before he can try to think any more on it though, he catches sight of a horse sized spider making its way up the tree across from Jin Ling, clearly intending to jump across. Shit.
Without stopping to think, he heaves his sword as hard as he can, feeling a small spark of pride when it embeds itself in the spider's head and the creatures immediately collapses back to the floor in a dead heap. His victory however is short lived as he realizes he is now sans sword.]
They're starting to climb your way, watch your back!
[He has time enough to call out the warning as he dodges again, putting just enough space between him and the approaching beasts to whip out chenqing. These creatures, whatever they are, aren't made from resentful energy, and this far out in the forest, there are few spirits to heed his call. Still, with no other option, Wei Wuxian plays. His fingers fly across the flute, the notes calling out to anything that will answer.
A loud squawk sounds from above and he only has enough time to register a shadow overhead before some sort of bird beast dripping with resentful energy swoops in and takes two of the spider beasts into its claws. Wei Wuxian keeps playing.]

They're coming from the east and some from the west too.
[ He confirmed as he glanced back down. Of course, he really isn't expecting much from this predicament other than being covered in spider guts. He wipes whatever remains of the crap from his face as he uses the leverage of the tallest tree branch to shoot down the spiders that were coming from that general direction. They can't hold on any longer in this situation. They will be eaten by then if they don't make any other smarter moves. He can see that Wei Wu Xian is starting to wear down. He notices the horse size spider too late as it came right at him. Lucky for Jin Ling, Wei Wu Xian literally launches his sword into the thing and it dies in a mad struggle. There isn't any time to really retort to the warning. He's going to have to take control of the situation on his own since the older man is tied up.
Jin Ling clicks his tongue because as much as he hates Wei Wu Xian sometimes, he can't bear to see his supposed uncle get hurt for saving him. At the very least the other has Chenqing and that will maybe hold them at bay just for a bit. No matter how many times, he's seen this in action, it's never stopped surprising him. The younger boy reaches for the last of his arrows and watches as the creatures line up climbing at an alarming rate right at him. He pulls the bow string with his index finger, channeling as much energy as he pulls it as far back as he can. When the spiders came at him, he let loose the bow string and the arrows one by one impales the targets at an alarming accurate rate. Though, with the last of his arrows gone, he's got nothing else to do but rely on his sword.
Since, he can't stay on the tree anymore, he takes this chance to throw himself back on the ground. He lands with a brief thump and makes his way towards Wei Wu Xian. Tucking his bow back, and using his own energy, he forces Sui Hua from its sheathe and the sword spirals through the general vicinity of them, slashing anything within its grasp before coming back into Jin Ling. ]
We need to get out of here! There's no way we can fend them off any longer!
[ Jin finally spirals back into conversation with his not!uncle as he moves to gain less distance between the both of them, his precious sword covered in spider goo. ]
Ugh....

It's times like these he considers beginning to invest in the study of transportation talismans.
No time to worry about that now. He lowers the flute for a second, long enough to call out to Jin Ling as he begins to make his way over.]
There's a village south, if we head that way and these things give chase, they won't stand a chance! We'll move north!
[As it is, they'll have to hope that they'll lose them eventually, because as much as they need to get away from these things, they can't just keep going and let these spiders follow them back to a village or town. If they couldn't lose them, then maybe he could send Jin Ling off in one direction while he led them in another...
The bird swoops down behind him, easily tearing into a spider that Wei Wuxian hadn't noticed about to jump on his unguarded back, and he refocuses his thoughts, playing harder. He moves as he plays, carving a path until he can reach his discarded sword, pull it free from the spider body, and then begin to move back towards Jin Ling. On the way, he manages to snatch a few of Jin Ling's spent arrows from the prone bodies of their marks, shoving them into his belt to hand off later.
Unable to call anything else to them, he puts chenqing away, letting out high whistles every now and then to keep the luan fighting for them even as he raises his aching arms to begin cutting through the spiders some more.
He's just about reached Jin Ling when he sees something moving at them fast from the corner of his eye and it takes him half a second to register what it is. Right. Spiders. Well shit. Wei Wuxian throws himself forward, shoving Jin Ling to the side as a stream of web catches his arm instead of Jin Ling's back, the sticky white web coating his arm immediately getting tangled and stuck to the nearest tree.]
Oh, come on. [He whines loudly, trying to saw at the stuff with his sword, thankfully his sword arm not the one currently fused to a tree. The web is gross and incredibly sticky but not really a problem in and of itself. The problem is his inability to move and also how many of those things have now noticed that he's easy prey. Yeah, regular steel isn't going to be able to cut through this stuff.]
Hey, can I—[He cuts off with a sharp hiss when something long and sharp pierces deep into his thigh, one of the smaller spiders having gone unnoticed until it was next to him. It takes only a moment for him to slice it in half though the damage is already done.]
1/2 I hope you're happy. :|
Using his spiritual energy, he concentrates on controlling his sword's movement through the lines and lines of spiders that are coming. It doesn't seem to end and the only replaces themselves as they loose numbers. It's as if he's making no progress at all. A stress mark was appearing on his face. Fatigue is just around the corner. Eventually, he will have to stop. They really have to get out of here fast. Sui Hua effortlessly hits its target without avail and returning back to Jin Ling. Having his sword in hand again, he quickly cuts down another one that comes in his direction while making his way towards Wei Wu Xian.
From what he understands, it's better for them to stick it out together than separated. He's not going to let the other use himself as some kind of scapegoat. It also meant that Jin Ling will owe him again for saving his life. He doesn't want that-- being indebted to someone, or accept that this person cares about him to some degree. It's still a weird thing to wrap around, despite understanding the story and everything now. In some ways, Wei Wu Xian is pitiful. The flute user has always been talented. That he never failed to admit inwardly. He can see that the large bird are doing pretty well. If anything, an opening of any kind of will suffice so they can keep moving towards the direction in which the other mentioned moments before.
He swings his sword down on another, and another. It was endless. Each time Sui Hua touched their flesh, it teared it to pieces. Beads and beads of sweat roll down his face. His breathing is becoming a little haggard. ]
Then what are you waiting for let's--- !!!????
[ Jin Ling catches sight of it too late as it seems to be coming right for him, except when he closed his eyes, nothing made impact of the spider. Instead of that, he feels himself being shoved and is lands ungracefully onto the dirt ground to the side of the creature and he looks up in utter surprise Wei Wu Xian?! ]
2/2 =__=
[ Too late, Jin Ling is safe, and Wei Wu Xian is not. He watches the string of webs capture the other in surprise and it doesn't look like he is going to able to get out of this unscathed. How can he still be talking like this?! Jin Ling is incredulously upset-- and that in itself is an understatement. ]
!!!!!
[ He wants to yell at him but he swallows it when he sees the spider dig itself into Wei Wu Xian's thigh. He freezes up in shock. By the time he recollects himself, the thing was nothing but a crumpled corpse by their feet. He stumbles over to grab a hold of Wei Wu Xian. ]
Why did you do that?! I could have taken it on!
[ ---Probably not, but he's going to say it anyway. Maybe there's some kind of concern coming off from his tone. ]
extremely :D
It was too fast, now stop worrying and help me cut this away.
[He gestures at the web still holding one arm captive, shifting with a slight pained cringe so that he's slightly in front of Jin Ling. His thigh is throbbing and the fangs have gone deep enough it'll definitely get infected without medicine, but that's not any kind of immediate concern. Several more begin approaching and Wei Wuxian gives a sharp whistle, calling the luan over. It's talons claw two of them in half, and it scarfs another one down, squirming legs dangling from its beak.
Wei Wuxian's gaze flickers to Jin Ling and the boy's expression is an open book of concern that fills Wei Wuxian with a deep rushing fondness. He is so much like Jiang Cheng sometimes, but somehow even worse at pretending not to care.]
Hey. It's just a small bite, I'll be fine.
uuughhh!!! SMH.
[ He muttered under his breath as he withdrew his hand that was pushed away. Regardless, he got that he needed to cut him out of this first. Sui Hua's sharp edge digs into the webs quickly cleaning slicing off the sticky webs. Once they were all cut from Wei Wu Xian, he shakes the blade to get rid of the excess. He'd probably have to find a place to clean it up again. ]
Fine? Can you even call that fine.
[ He gestures to the wound at the same time his voice goes up a few octaves. Of course he also doesn't like that Wei Wu Xian is giving him a weird look for it...Ugh, why did he even react? Can he even walk? Not that this entire situation is going get any better. Once he frees the older man, he's looking around for an opening while decking a ton more of the spiders in a fit of irritation.
The irritations sparks him to whistle for his spirit companion. Wei Wu Xian is going to have to deal with Fairy because they need as much back up as they can to get the heck out of here without losing limbs. Fairy is perfect for clearing a path for them if Wei Wu Xian can run. If not he'll have to go with the second option. ]
it's okay, now WWX is the one suffering
What are you whistling for Fairy for! We don't need a d-dumb dog!
[In the air, the luan falters for a moment, confusion marking Wei Wuxian's momentary lapse of control, though it quickly shakes it off and continues to deal with the spiders nearest to them.
Anxiety crawls over Wei Wuxian's skin, leaving something cold in its wake and his breathing grows shallow like...like...He closes his eyes and his world tilts, dizziness hitting him like a brick. Oh, he thinks. Oh. This is...probably more than fear. He isn't usually this bad. Hasn't been this bad in a while. His leg throbs and he frowns, suddenly aware of just how cold and clammy he is beginning to feel in a way that speaks to something more than anxiety.
Wei Wuxian glances down at the wound as surreptitiously as he can, not wanting Jin Ling to track his gaze. The blood seeping from the wound is dark red, but there are splashes of something yellow around the edges.
He pauses and then remains silent. It's not like they can do anything about it right now anyway, no reason to worry Jin Ling anymore.]
XD Well fair trade I guess? haahah!!! Also FLYING is fun~ hang on tight
However, someone clearly isn't fond of the follow up to his call. (looking at you WWX)
God! He suddenly feel extremely heavy when the older man latches onto him. If this isn't a dire situation right now, he seriously would shove him off. Jin Ling is only able to try to pry himself off as gently at possible with obviously no avail. Wei Wu Xian is attached to his form. This amount of closeness is making him completely uncomfortable on all levels because he's not used to people in his personal space bubble.
Fairy gives a confused look at its master to see if he has any orders for him but Jin Ling is currently a little occupied.
When will he ever get over this? Jin Ling has reiterated so many times to him that Fairy will not bite him. It bites vengeful spirits and things like these atrocious spiders. If Fairy were to bite him, it will because Jin Ling told him to but never has he done this at all! Even now, he held off for the longest time with some consideration to Wei Wu Xian's fear but right now they can't afford to be messing around. ]
I already told you that Fairy won't bite! Seriously, do you think we'll be able to get way with your injury right now by ourselves? He's going to make a path for us.
[ He pointed to the direction that Wei Wu Xian mentioned before northward. He also pales a bit at the blood seeping out of the other's thigh. This--- was not good at all. He doesn't give Wei Wu Xian any time to prepare as he mounts Sui Hua and shouts to Fairy. They need to get him checked. There's a chance that this maybe poison. Even if he isn't trying to show how fatigued he is, Jin Ling can see that he's in no condition to move much less argue about his choices. ]
Fairy! Lead the way!
[ With him commanding Fairy, the spirit familiar makes its way ahead of the both of them and starts tearing through spiders in a straight line, creating a path for movement. The forest is a bit thick and there's going to be some rough patches but he thinks he can manage to get through this with some complications, and probably a couple scrapes from the vegetation but it's nothing compared to the injury that Wei Wu Xian has.
The funny thing about Jin Ling is that, despite his temper was that he was clever. He may not be as amazing as most people but he's got enough experience under his belt to at least pull something like this off. Since Wei Wu Xian is latched onto him and probably won't be letting go anytime soon, Sui Hua glides through the forest with the two of them tailing close behind Fairy as the they continue northward and away from the approach of more spiders. Getting rid of strays isn't the problem. He hopes they can get away without being tailed. ]
LOL
He's vaguely aware of the two of them moving and his entire center of gravity shifting and he takes a deep breath, hoping to steady himself. He can hear Fairy scampering beneath them as Sui Hua rises into the air, slower than usual with Wei Wuxian's added weight, though his usual anxiety in the presence of all things canine seems to have faded into a distant buzz.
Forcing his eyes open, he straightens as much as he can manage, not wanting to burden Jin Ling anymore than he already is. He blinks, remembers the arrows he'd collected and after re-sheathing his sword, holds them out to Jin Ling.
He might not want anything to do with Fairy but that doesn't mean he wants to see anything bad happen to Jin Ling's dumb furry friend. This way Jin Ling can help the dog from above.]
Here. [And he adjusts his grip on Jin Ling, careful to mind his ability to shoot.]
Don't be unreasonable okay? :|
One of these days, Wei Wu Xian will get beaten over the head with his bow. He's going to do it. He really will. (Probably not, but one can dream right?) Jin Ling heaves a deep sigh at Wei Wu Xian still clinging onto him. Even though they are a good distance up and above from Fairy, he's still having a fit. Even with the slower speed with the extra body, the sword moves pretty quickly and the spiders were starting to slowly disappear from their view, save the few that Fairy is taking down and or ripping apart viciously. Probably not a view for someone with dog trauma.
Jin Ling glances from his peripheral vision at the other's gesture and shift of position. He's a little stunned that the scattered arrows were picked up earlier but he was somewhat grateful-- maybe.... Jin Ling is silence for a long time while they moved along. At some point he does reply. ]
...Thanks...
[ He mutters in hopes that it's carried out into the wind as they glided along the path to safety. Don't-- make any snarky comments for his awkward thank you. Please also don't repeat this to anyone...including him. He will rage.
He takes the arrows with his free hand shuffles them back into its holder, while pulling out his bow-- minding not to hit Wei Wu Xian (even though he wanted to). He shifts his balance and weight and pulls back on one arrow on its bow and pulls back with clear precision. In matter of seconds, he lets it go and it pierces a spider on their left side where Fairy was still fighting. He carefully uses the remaining arrows as he watches the situation. He only shoots if he thinks Fairy is going to get hurt.
Eventually, the scene of the spiders fade into the far distance and the trees are thinning out. They are so close to the nearby location with some human society. ]
He would never
He opens his eyes once to try and check but his vision swims so badly that he risks falling off of the sword and shuts them again immediately. When he hasn't heard anymore fighting for a while and the forest has gone peaceful around them, he finally opens his eyes again, this time careful to keep them focused on Jin Ling's robes and nothing else.]
Jin Ling. [He starts, a slur slipping into his words no matter how hard he tries to control his voice.] If we can find a village with a healer that would be best.
[Now that the danger has passed, he supposes it's wise to look for treatment. He isn't sure what he looks like, but he's pretty sure it isn't good given how cold and clammy he feels and how has breath has started to come in quiet shudders. At least the spider missed his femoral artery. He supposes it could have been worse.]
Right.
It was really difficult to fire his arrows with the extra weight on him, even if it's shifted, but somehow Jin Ling seemed to be pulling through like some kind of trooper. He really did take after his late dad in that sense. A talented young scion of the Lanling Jin Sect. When things are somewhat safe, he lowers his bow and gestures for Fairy to move even further ahead. He somehow managed to save a few arrows from earlier thanks to Wei Wu Xian. ]
I knew you weren't fine. There's no way a bite like that isn't-- ven--
[ He stops mid sentence as he notices the other's complexion is really not good when he takes a good once over. With that he's going to use whatever is left of his energy to get them to the foot of the a nearby settlement. Once he's close to the entrance, he dismounts himself from Sui Ha -- with Wei Wu Xian still attached to him and trying to ground himself so that neither of them crash into the ground. Sheathing the sword and tucking away his weapons, he gathers whatever strength he has left to balance Wei Wu Xian who is still attached to him.
Fairy whines a bit in front of him as he gestures for him to leave them be for the time being. He manages to get a gentle pat on his familiar's head before letting it watch them in the shadows. Which meant he will be out of sight. Hopefully that will ease Wei Wu Xian some. The anxiety probably isn't helping his injury and they never even got a chance to properly clean it. It looks really bad. ]
Anyway-- don't do that again...
[ He breaks the long silence after a moment and starts walking, while supporting as much of the other's weight as possible. He also kind of gears them towards some of the residence about a healer until he was pointed to a nearby clinic that most likely will have someone that can check this. ]
no subject
As they move, he does his best to take as much of his own weight as he can, but finds himself growing more and more reliant on Jin Ling's support as they go. Oversized as they were, the spiders didn't look like any terribly venomous spiders that he knew of, so it's likely the sheer amount of venom that's the problem, not the kind of venom.
He didn't think it was possible for something to feel both numb and on fire at the same time and his leg is doing a great job of proving that wrong. One dragging step has him letting out a sharp sound of pain and he pauses, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his face. When the worst of the pain has passed, he starts moving again, relieved to find they've almost reached their destination.
Wei Wuxian blinks, turning to Jin Ling.]
You didn't get injured, did you? [He hadn't seen anything happen but he's also aware of the fact that he hasn't exactly been all there since the bite. He might have missed it.]
no subject
On the wider scale of things, it's not like he was completely lonely. Even if he didn't have his parents, he had his uncles from his father and mother's side. They both took care of him in their own way. Again, he would like to think that not all the affection and care that Jin Guan Yao had given him were truly false. After all, Fairy was one of the most precious gifts he's gotten and the familiar had always been there to protect him.
It's a long winding path of growth for Jin Ling. He definitely has softened a bit from their first encounter, but some old habits are so hard to get rid off. Especially, his temper. Jin Ling is aware and is watching him carefully. He slows his pace at times or stop to let the other gather himself or take a breath. Eventually, this entire situation is starting to feel a bit ridiculous. ]
I'm-- fine.
[ He sharply replies to the question. Seriously?! He's barely got any injuries other than scrapes from branches, and a bruise or two for being thrown around. He's in way better condition than Wei Wu Xian-- minus being drained of a lot of energy but that can be replenished. ]
This isn't working.
[ He stops walking abruptly after that, seeing and feeling that Wei Wu Xian isn't going to make it if they keep this pace. He begrudgingly clears his throat and speaks out again, albeit in a more demanding manner. If there's a time to say that he really took after his father, this is probably one of those times. Maybe. ]
Get on.
[ Yes-- Get on his back
uncleWei Wu Xian. :| ]no subject
It's fine, I can walk. [Sort of. See? He takes a step and immediately begins to fall over, catching himself on Jin Ling's shoulders to stop himself. Okay so maybe not. With a reluctant sigh, he hauls himself up onto Jin Ling's back, immediately letting his eyes fall closed and his burning forehead rest on the back of the boy's neck.]
...sorry, Jin Ling. [His lips pull up into a self deprecating smile and he's glad Jin Ling can't see it. What a useless uncle he turned out to be.]
no subject
He huffs, annoyed at the pathetic attempt to prove otherwise. ]
You can't even stand, much less walk.
[ He gives Wei Wu Xian a dead pan look. ]
Look. I'm doing this because I don't want to be indebted to you.
[ He replied curtly. It's half the truth but not the full one. After that statement, he finally was pleased with the result. He shifted the other comfortably on him as Wei Wu Xian laid his head on his neck. He can feel the heat radiating from him. He probably has a fever. Jin Ling picks up his pace in a small jog as he in a matter of a few minutes, he's in front of the clinic. ]
If you're sorry-- then don't die.
[ He muttered awkwardly, before shifting the other enough that he could knock on the door of the clinic in a heavy manner until it is opened. ]
no subject
Wei Wuxian lets out a soft sigh, squeezing one of Jin ling's shoulders where his hand rests against it.]
Promise not to. [Die that is. Of all the ways he'd thought he might die in this life and the last, he had never considered a dumb spider bite and he sure as hell isn't allowing himself to succumb to something so ridiculous. The clinic door opens up eventually and an apprentice healer leads them inside, helping Jin Ling move Wei Wuxian to a day bed. He is vaguely aware of conversation happening though he keeps his gaze resting contentedly on Jin Ling, fighting the urge to close his eyes and let unconsciousness take him.]
no subject
He wants to get rid of the venom from Wei Wu Xian's system, bathe and rest, since they won't be able to travel very for at this rate. Jin Ling stiffens up at the squeeze on his shoulder, because seriously, personal space!! ]
!!!-- Fine, alright I got it.
[ He can't ever get used to any of this. He doesn't get it and he shakes it off the best he can for no as a healer comes out to aid them. That is when Jin Ling is finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.
He spoke briefly to the apprentice and explains the situation, mentioning the spider and such as he and the apprentice lay Wei Wu Xian down. He gestures to where the other is bit and sure enough when the healer started on the wound, he could see the big bite mark and the discoloration on the skin. He's more than a little poisoned. Jin Ling shuddered at the sheer look of it.
After a few hours of work and diagnosis, Jin Ling was told that the they were extremely lucky because the venom could have been dangerous if left unattended any longer and due to the size of the spider described, it made sense that the poison was far worse than a normal spider bite.
What stubborn person. Even in this much pain, he chooses to not voice it. Jin Ling can't be more upset than he is at the moment but he swallows it all drying as he helps the apprentice check up on the man once they lay him down.
At the end of the day, the healer gave him a few packs of herbal medicine that he has to boil for Wei Wu Xian to take for the next few days. They also managed to get most of the venom out of the system and the wound itself was cleaned and wrapped up good as new. The apprentice said they could stay here for a bit longer if they needed but didn't recommend doing any strenuousness travel until the patient is 100% recovered. He also requested Jin Ling to bring Wei Wu Xian back in a few days to get a second check up and ensure that they didn't miss anything and get more herbal medicine if needed.
At that moment, Jin Ling does breathe a sigh of utter relief now that the danger was over. He supposed there's not much he can do and just collapses on the floor by the day bed, and leaning against it with his sword. A few hours of rest and then the search for an inn. What an exhausting day. ]

Jin ling-[He tries and flinches, voice rough with sleep and lingering fever. He feels better than before, clearer, but he can tell some effects remain. He clears his throat and tries again, calling out for his companion.]
Jin Ling? [He sits up further, pushing through the discomfort when worry nips at the edge of his thoughts. His worries are almost immediately assuaged however when sitting up provides him with the impossible picture that is Jin Ling asleep on the floor at his bed side. Wei Wuxian's mouth falls open in shock for a moment before his eyes take on a glazed affectionate haze and he smiles.
Since he's pretty sure that if he were to get down on the floor he wouldn't be able to get back up, he swings his uninjured leg over the side of his bed and gently nudges Jin ling with the toe of his boot.]
Hey. Jin Ling. Wake up. [Much as he wants to let him sleep, on the floor next to his sick bed is just about the worst place to do it. better to get him into an actual bed.]

He doesn't hear his name called until he feels the toe of the boot connect with his shoulder and immediately wakes up in alert, shooting a look groggily in the direction of the foot, only to see Wei Wu Xian up and awake. He pushes the foot away from him because that's kind of rude too. :| ]
Mmn-- Wha-- huh? You're awake.
[ He slightly rubs the sleep out of his eyes. He's tired and anywhere is a good spot to sleep really. It would have been nicer if he could have curled up with Fairy but-- Wei Wu Xian... so he skipped that part. ]

Unfortunately. [He snorts and shakes his head, immediately regretting it when it aches more.]
We should go find an inn. You're exhausted, you carried us both back after a long fight. Also-[And he reaches out before Jin Ling can stop him, tugging on a wisp of his hair that's been gelled together by dried spider guts]
You need a bath. [He smirks. Technically they both need a bath (or five) but teasing Jin Ling is the best way he knows how to reassure the kid that he really is okay. Still a little sick, still in some pain, but going to be okay.]

You shouldn't move too erratically. The healer said that the amount poison in your system could have killed you because that spider was so big. It released a lot of venom when it bit into you. You're not allowed to do anything strenuous. He also gave us medicine......
[ Jin Lin points to the table with the packages of wrapped up herbal medication. There's a scoff from him for that statement. Really, should he even be lecturing him right now? ]
Of course I'm tired and I know we should be-- hey!
[ He slaps his hand away immediately for tugging his hair. Personal. Space.! How many times does he need to keep refuting this? Also, he can't fool Jin Ling at this point. He looks like crap. ]
You're not any better, so stop reminding me!
[ He added with a huff before straightening himself up again and fixing his messy clothes. He supposed he'd have to get them washed too. Ugh. He continues organize himself enough and grabs the medicine and looks back over at Wei Wu Xian. ]
Can you walk?
[ Does he need to carry you again? ]
no subject
After a brief hesitation in which Wei Wuxian carefully swings his bad leg over (and boy is that fun) he slowly rises to his feet, carefully concealing his expression behind a blank mask of indifference. If he can walk with a freshly missing golden core, he can walk with a minor leg injury. The freshly wounded leg feels weak and the sudden rush of blood now that he's standing makes it scream in pain, but Wei Wuxian can walk without falling over and he only gives Jin Ling a victorious smile.]
Any idea which direction the nearest inn is at?
just this look.
Can you now.
[ He replied giving the older man a completely suspicious look. Even his tone is obviously sarcastic. He crosses his arms and sizes down his alleged uncle, completely not believing anything he has just said to him.]
It's a walks away from the clinic. This town is pretty sizable.
shrug emoji!!!
